Energy Consultancy

Independent energy advice for businesses — from a single site to a corporate portfolio.

INDEPENDENT ADVICE · NO MARK-UP ON EPC QUOTES · FROM IDEA TO ON-SITE · ONE PARTNER, END TO END

Electricity is no longer just a utility cost — it’s a strategic risk, and most businesses face it alone. EPC sales teams are paid to sell installations, and nobody independent is looking at the whole picture from the business’s side.

That gap is what Enerthia fills. We assess your energy needs, engineer the right solution, select the right EPC, fund the project — and stay with you from the first assessment until the system is on and producing power.

Single-Site Advisory

For a business that knows it needs an energy solution but doesn’t know where to turn. A no-fee advisory entry point that takes a single site from assessment to a signed, funded, installed system — with someone independent guiding every decision.

Why businesses use us

No-fee single-site advisory

The single-site consultancy stage costs you nothing.

Market-related EPC pricing

We compare two to three quotes from our approved EPCs and challenge pricing that isn’t market-related before you see the proposal. We don’t mark up EPC quotes.

The right funding model

We fund projects of up to R10 billion across debt and equity structures, and recommend the funding model that fits.

What an energy consultancy engagement covers

Whether the engagement is a single site or a portfolio programme, the deliverable scope is the same. What changes is the number of sites it runs across.

Strategy and assessment

Energy assessment across the site or portfolio — consumption, infrastructure, tariff structure and rollout priority reviewed site by site. From that, a strategic recommendation: the technology mix, the commercial structure, the sequencing logic and the headline economics. Capital and tax structuring inputs are part of it, including Section 12B applicability, ownership structures and balance-sheet impact.

Procurement and funding

EPC procurement runs through our approved network of 55 EPCs, endorsed EPCs first — shortlisting, scope definition, two to three quotations compared, and contract negotiation. We fund the project on the best-fit funding model, with term sheets translated into plain language. Negotiation is conducted in your interest: term lengths, escalation, end-of-term positions, buy-out values, cession rights and force majeure.

Delivery and commissioning

The build programme is monitored, snags resolved, EPC accountability maintained and sign-offs managed. We attend commissioning, document the hand-over and stay involved through the first month of operation. Post-commissioning, performance is reviewed and anomalies investigated.

Governance and reporting

Programme dashboards track per-project status, milestone progress, financial close and — once operational — energy production. Reporting is formatted for board papers, audit committees and risk reviews, with project documentation and generation data aligned to your ESG reporting framework.

The technology options assessed

Recommendations are made against what the site actually needs, not what a supplier has to sell: solar PV, battery storage, wheeling, virtual PPAs and hybrid configurations. The right answer for a single manufacturing site is rarely the right answer for a retail portfolio, and both differ again where a development pipeline is involved.

Why independence changes the outcome

We compare two to three quotes from our approved EPCs and challenge any pricing that isn’t market-related before you see the proposal. That removes the incentive to specify the most expensive solution. Where a client prefers an EPC they already use, we vet that EPC against our standard criteria.
